Mile Express Transport provides dedicated transportation for live laboratory animals used in medical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and scientific research, including mice, rats, and other approved research animals.

We understand that live research animal shipments require a significantly different level of care than standard freight. These animals may represent valuable research programs, specialized breeding lines, and time-sensitive scientific studies, making proper handling, environmental conditions, security, and on-time delivery critical throughout transportation.

Our team follows strict customer SOPs and shipment-specific handling instructions to help ensure animals remain secure and in an appropriate, comfortable environment from pickup through final delivery.

• Minimal Handling – Containers remain secured and undisturbed whenever possible to reduce unnecessary movement, handling, and stress. 
• Secure Transportation – Shipping containers are properly positioned and secured within the vehicle while maintaining appropriate airflow and environmental conditions. 
• Proactive Monitoring & Communication – Dispatch maintains communication with the driver throughout transportation and immediately escalates concerns or unexpected conditions. 
• Time-Critical Delivery – Dedicated and expedited transportation is available for research shipments requiring strict collection and delivery schedules.

The welfare of the animals is a priority throughout every movement. Mile Express drivers are expected to understand that these shipments contain live research animals—not ordinary cargo.

Vehicles are maintained at appropriate conditions based on the customer's requirements, and animals are protected from temperature extremes, unnecessary exposure, excessive handling, and avoidable delays. Drivers follow the specific instructions provided for each shipment rather than making assumptions about the requirements of the animals being transported.
